Webcast Instructions:
Connecting to the Webcast:
On the day of the webcast, please go to http://www.e-stream.com/goz/1.aspx. Approximately 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the Men's Bible Study, we will begin broadcasting and you will be able to see the live feed from our building. Prior to the time we begin broadcasting, you will encounter a Windows Media Player error message stating that you cannot connect to the server. You should be able to select the “close” option, which then results in a plain, black screen. You will then be able to select the blue “play” button to start your live webcast at 12:00 noon (CDT) or shortly before.
Windows Media Player Update:
You may be prompted to update your Windows Media Player. Be advised that depending on your connection speed, this could take anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour. Since this is not mandatory, we would caution you against starting this update just prior to the start of the webcast. Rather, you could do this after the meeting or at another time.
Picture Size:
Depending on your version of Windows Media Player, you may want to increase the dimensions of your webcast picture. You can do this by “right clicking” on the picture. This opens a menu on which you might choose to select “fullscreen” or “video size” (which provides a drop down menu from which you could select “200%”). Both of these options will increase your picture size.
Audio:
In addition to the Windows Media Player volume control option, you may also need to adjust the volume controls on your computer to enhance the webcast volume.
Webcast Quality:
Remember, we do require a high speed connection for the best quality. If you are using AOL to connect to the internet, minimize the AOL browser after connecting and open Internet Explorer to go to the website. AOL has proprietary software which may prevent you from accessing the web cast. A good quality stream may be affected by internet traffic at various times throughout the day.
Webcast Test
To assist you in preparing for the Men's Bible Study webcast, we have a short webcast for you to view. Although not a “live” broadcast, this should provide a means to acquaint you with the Windows Media Player, test your settings, and build your confidence for watching the Men's Bible Study “live”. If you would like to view this test broadcast, please go to http://www.e-stream.com/goz/test.asx. You can then use the directions provided above to assist you in viewing this short message.
