Dear Leaders: We send this to you with thanksgiving for your prayers for the State of Rhode Island. We feel a sense of destiny on our state. I don't know why, but maybe it would tickle the Lord to have the smallest state in the union make the greatest impact. Or maybe what the world and/or Church would call inferior, God would call 'favored'. Perhaps it is due to the motto of our state, HOPE!!! We feel "HOPEFUL" that the Lord is on our side! We pray and send "HOPE" to you in the authority of Jesus’ Name and in the authority of the decree over our state. Be blessed and filled with HOPE for the days ahead both individually and corporately. PRAISE HIM!

In July of 2004, when on the 50 State Prayer Tour, Chuck Pierce prophesied several things into the State of Rhode Island:
1. Chuck said a council would develop in Rhode Island that would have influence with governmental leaders as well as influence in many different areas:
The New England Leadership Coalition, council formed in September, 2005, consists of Christian apostolic and prophetic leaders from southeastern New England churches and other gateways of the region from the areas of business, government, specialized community services, non profit agencies as well as some from the sports arena of life. It is in its new beginnings, with expected grass roots growth as leaders sense the Lord is pleased with unity rather than self-sufficiency.
** Pray that the NELC will have an anointing of unity that will tear down the strongholds of apathy, spiritual pride and ignorance that separate the churches one from another. Pray that it build up the citywide church to be a strong voice in the state so as to promote righteousness and dispel the darkness. Pray for God's hand of supernatural favor upon it so that it will be used to restore the breech between church and state and the men and women involved in it will commit to the purposes of God flowing through it.
2. Chuck said: "God is going to make some of you wealthy, just because He wants to.” He also said, "The Joseph's coat of God will be seen in and through the church in Rhode Island."
There is an expectancy of imminent prosperity upon the Christians in this state, especially upon those who have sown and been faithful through the trials of their faith for a long time, serving and sacrificing, asking nothing in return but to please God and be used by Him. Million dollar ideas are coming to people, entrepreneurial ideas, job promotions, even management positions are being provided by the Lord.
**Pray that there will be a multiplication of finances, even miraculous provision, bestowed to Christians who will not horde it, but will use it to bless and extend the Kingdom, firstly through and to the born again Christian churches whom God wants to use and give face lifts to that will show the nation that the Church is the head and not the tail in the community and in the state. Pray that finances will be pooled to establish “resource/benevolence” warehouses, compassion organizations, statewide missions teams sent out from the Church of Rhode Island, and other causes in Jesus’ Name.
3. Chuck prophesied, "He's going to re-do some of those rebellious kids who were rebelling to break out of a system. He's going to cause them to fall on their faces and think differently than you could even think."
It has been prophesied by more than one prophet that there would be a revival in the youth of the State of Rhode Island.
**Pray that there will be such a miraculous outbreak of visitation from the Lord that kids who would go to
bed one night passive or apathetic to the ways of Jesus would wake up from visitations and dreams, totally transformed and on fire from a sovereign touch from the Holy Spirit. Pray that the fire of God would fall all over the State of Rhode Island and that kids, especially teenagers, will get saved and carry the message of Christ into every gateway of society. Pray that they will especially be a voice for the civil issues like pro-life and marriage between one man and one woman.
4. Chuck prophesied: "God is determined for repentance to take action in this territory".
**Pray that division comes down, especially between the churches. Pray that they get sick of their differences long enough to come together and pray together so repentance and miracles will manifest in this state. Pray that repentance comes, rather than judgment.
Recently, the Lord showed me (Nancy) at a leadership gathering of several churches, that there is a HARVEST OF LEADERSHIP being released in this state. “Change agents” are awakening in Rhode Island. Change agents are those that have years of longevity in their faithful service for Him and this state and the surrounding states are going to be energized for the Apostolic anointing. Christian authority will be confirmed in the atmosphere and the culture. God is going to release a "Harvest of Leaders" able to carry and distribute more of the burden of the Kingdom work, thereby multiplying the fruitfulness. Strategists will come together in prayer and intercession, in benevolence missions, in equipping the next generation in worship/ healing services, in media campaigns, in doing relevant, alive church services in and over the walls, in governmental hearings, in the Arts and at the 2006 NEW YEAR'S DAY PRAYER in PROVIDENCE.
**Pray for the harvesting of leaders who will connect and not divide the church. Pray for leaders who are humble, looking to build the statewide Church as well as to connect local churches with the marketplace. Pray for fathering leaders who have vision as well as prophetic and apostolic giftings. Pray for administratively gifted leaders who can work together and complement those that are visionaries. Pray for pastoral leaders who can gather, equip and release. Pray for women leaders and for those who will welcome and encourage these women leaders to bring forth insight and words from the Lord. Pray for leaders of integrity, not looking for individual growth for themselves, but for exponential Kingdom growth in this state and region.
5. Chuck prophesied, "It is time for R.I. to launch back out into some place you've been before and let God show you a different way, and you watch the Glory of God sweep into this state." He also prophesied, "Rhode Island is going to represent the new wineskin of the Spirit in this nation."
**Pray that the move of the Holy Spirit that swept into this state several years ago will be rekindled and the fresh breath of God will blow on the residual sparks, enflaming His people once again with passion. Pray that R.I. will launch back out and wisdom will lead the way, not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit. Pray that there will be a changing of the guard in the political arena of the Senate and House down to and through the local officials, from passivity to activity to represent the causes of righteousness in this state and nation.
Brief History of Rhode Island
When Roger Williams was banished from Massachusetts he took refuge among the Narragansett Indians, who occupied the country at the head of Narragansett Bay. Canonicus, the chief, held the good man in high esteem, and presented him with a large tract of land, which the devout Williams named "Providence" in remembrance of the manner in which he believed God had directed him thither. Settlers from Massachusetts followed him, and all were hospitably received and kindly treated. The fullest religious liberty was allowed, and even when Anne Hutchinson visited Williams, he treated her like a sister. Williams obtained a charter in 1644 from the Parliament and it was confirmed in 1654. The new one granted by Charles II in 1663 united all the colonies into one, under the name Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. This is still the legal name of the State, which retains its capital, Providence, where the Legislature meets. The charter of Charles II suited the people so well that it remained in force until 1842, when Thomas Dorr headed a rebellion which resulted in the establishment of a new charter.
The existence of Rhode Island was threatened by the claim of Connecticut to all the land on the west to the shore of Narragansett Bay, while Plymouth insisted that the land on the east to the shore of the same bay belonged to her. Rhode Island stoutly resisted, and succeeded in 1741 and 1752 in fixing her boundaries as they are today, which make her the smallest State in the Union. In 1790, Rhode Island became the 13th State of the Union, completing the 13 original states.

Be encouraged that your prayers are effective and there are signs of change and revival manifesting in the landscape. Providence is being revived. Old, old, old, warehouses are being torn down, and new, upscale residences are replacing them. Cafes abound and new restaurants have been established, new boutique hotels are springing up, and new, huge banks are being built on every corner, it seems. The crime rate is down, and the business and economy is growing with high tech industry moving in. Even the local sports teams, the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox (which the Boston Globe reported is the most vocal and largest born-again Christian team in sports) in the region are winners. When the Holy Spirit awakens, He awakens everything in a region.
Rhode Island is coming into a place of "new beginnings".
